How to Rent the Right Scooter for Your Needs?
When setting up a mobility scooter rental, you will need to have the height and weight of the person using the scooter. Providing this information accurately will help insure that you are renting the right scooter for your needs. Scooters come in three different sizes; Standard, Heavy Duty and Bariatric. A standard scooter can accommodate a guest up to 249 pounds, a Heavy Duty scooter can accommodate a guest up to 349 pounds, and a Bariatric scooter can accommodate a guest up to 500 pounds. Please be sure to keep in mind for cruises, the Standard and Heavy Duty scooters fit through standard cabin doors so you do not need an accessible cabin. If you rent a Bariatric scooter you would be required to have an accessible cabin.
